Hollywood tough guy Mark Wahlberg has joined Indian Motorcycle as the ‘Scout Ambassador’. To launch this partnership, Wahlberg was on hand at Sturgis for the official unveiling of the new bike.

Passionate about motorcycles, Wahlberg is one of the most famous actors and producers of his time. His longstanding affection for the Indian brand began as a child watching his neighbour riding an Indian. Since then, Mark has ridden many bikes, however now the Indian Scout is his bike of choice.

The Scout will appear in Mark’s new movie, Ted 2 as Flash Gordon’s motorcycles. Indian Motorcycle will also play an important role in another one of Mark’s upcoming movies Daddy’s Home, which co-stars Will Ferrell.

In the US, as part of Mark’s partnership with Indian Motorcycle, he has launched his own limited edition apparel line. The clothing line is a casual, all-season line that distinctively represents Mark’s personal style and passion for the Americana heritage of the iconic Indian Motorcycle brand.

Wahlberg joins American Pickers star, Mike Wolfe as the global ambassador for this growing iconic brand. Locally Ian Moss and Shane Jacobson are also dedicated riders of Indian Motorcycle.

One of the lightest bikes in its class at 253kg, the all-new Indian Scout was derived from a clean sheet design, creating a potent and precise middle-weight cruiser that continues the spirit of innovation that made it one of the most storied bikes of all time.

It is the first truly new Indian Scout in more than 70 years, and marks the return of the legendary bikes that conquered the infamous “Wall of Death” and carried the legendary “Indian Wrecking Crew” motorcycle race team to multiple victories.

A 1920 Indian Scout earned the title of the “world’s fastest Indian” as proven by Burt Munro in 1967 and technology and designs derived from Scout models played a significant role for Allied Forces in World War II.

Boasting advanced technologies, design and engineering innovations, it offers lightweight and rigid cast aluminium frame coupled with a low 642mm seat height for exceptional comfort, balance and manoeuvrability, making it appealing to riders of sizes and experience levels. .

Powered by a liquid-cooled, 100 HP V-twin engine, the all-new Indian Scout is powerful yet approachable – the high horsepower and superior handling will thrill even the most experienced riders.

The 2015 Indian Scout has arrived in Indian Motorcycle Showrooms for a Recommended Ride Away price of $17,995 and is backed by Indian Motorcycle’s two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty.
